Project Training
Emergency Care & Burn Injuries Management Project Training Program
Target Group: Medical professionals who work in emergency medicine, burn care, or plastic surgery departments
Training Period: Oct 14th - Oct 25th

This training is co-organized by Taiwan Society of Emergency Medicine and Taiwan Society for Burn Injuries and Wound Healing
Emergency care is an essential part of the health system and serves as the first point of contact for the acutely ill and injured around the world. Taiwan is one of the countries that successfully controlled domestic outbreaks and had a low mortality rate during COVID-19 pandemic. The 2024 TIHTC EBM training is instructed by top frontline medical professionals and experts from Taiwan Society of Emergency Medicine, medical centers, and burn injury related institutes. The curriculum covers all areas of emergency response and burn injuries treatment. Additional Clinical Training
After the 2-week EBM lecture, you now have a chance to get 2 more weeks of onsite observation training in emergency medicine or burn injuries management and rehabilitation.
EBM participants are eligible for an extended onsite observation in emergency medicine or burn injuries management and rehabilitation. You can structure your own study plan for these 2 weeks, and TIHTC will arrange the extended training according to your needs.
Note: Applicants must meet the requirements of the extended training and apply before July 23rd
Healthcare Management & National Health Insurance Project Training Program
Target Groups:
- Healthcare professionals who carry administrative responsibilities in healthcare institutions
- Healthcare professionals who work in government health agencies
Training Period: Nov 4th - Nov 15th

Taiwan’s healthcare system ranked 1st in the world for 6 years in a row (Numbeo, 2024)
Co-organized by Institute of Hospital and Health Care Administration of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, the training will cover core leadership and competitiveness in-depth. It will further strengthen participants’ management capability in international healthcare affairs.
Taiwan is internationally acclaimed as the country with the most affordable and accessible National Health Insurance (NHI). This training will introduce the development of NHI, its policies, and cover the financial strategies in sustaining the insurance system. Furthermore, topics such as smart hospitals and the use of AI in the efficient management of hospital administration will also be discussed in the training.

Customized Project Program
- Customized project training can encompass healthcare related topics such as disease prevention strategies, National Health Insurance, healthcare management, epidemiology of communicable diseases, emergency care, and health information technology.
- Who can apply: governmental departments, hospitals, academic institutions, medical associations, etc.

Application Procedure
- TIHTC encourages applicants to apply as early as possible and make sure all documentation is in order before submission. Applications for project training should be submitted according to the deadline of each project training.
➊ Supporting documents preparation
- Resume or curriculum vitae
- A scanned copy of your passport
- The copy should display clear personal information including your name, date of birth, passport number, and expiration date. Your passport should have 6 months or more validity after the end of your training.
- Medical reports
- Medical reports should be completed no earlier than 3 months before the intended starting date of training. TIHTC will inform you when and what items are required, including:
- Chest X-ray for pulmonary tuberculosis
- Hepatitis B status
- Serological test for syphilis
- Certificate or proof of positive measles antibody or measles vaccination
- Certificate or proof of positive rubella antibody or rubella vaccination
- Other health reports according to current regulations
- An ID photo
- Two-inch ID color photo with white background, and at least 1062 x 826 pixels (taken within 6 months)
- One or more letters of recommendation
- The letter should be dedicated to the training you apply for, with the signature of the referee within 6 months before the intended starting date of the training
- A scanned copy of a diploma or degree relevant to the field of medicine
- Valid English certificate
- Valid English proficiency certification or a self-introductory video in English (3-5 minutes)
- Others
- Copies of any other licenses or certifications relevant to the training you are applying for
➋ Fill out the application form and upload supporting documents
- In case of missing documents, the applicant is required to submit them within 2 weeks of receiving notice, otherwise the application will be considered invalid and may be rejected.
➌ Application review
- Application reviews are conducted jointly by TIHTC and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. It may take 2~3 weeks for the review.
- Other supplementary documents may be required at this stage.
➍ Acceptance
- Upon receiving the final results of your application from the MOHW, TIHTC will notify applicants via email and send the official acceptance letter.
